Niacinamide

Niacinamide is a water-soluble vitamin also known as vitamin B3. It helps to reinforce and enhance the skin’s barrier function by increasing the production of ceramides in the surface layers of skin, helping to build moisture and prevent trans epidermal water loss. Niacinamide also helps reduce hyperpigmentation by inhibiting the ability of melanocytes to pass melanin to the skin cells, resulting in the reduced appearance of uneven skin tone. It is an antioxidant and has anti-inflammatory properties may assist in controlling sebum production and stimulate microcirculation, reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
